#CreativesZWunlocked

Andani.Africa together with Harare based partners Savanna Trust, undertook a 6 month Ecosystems mapping of three Zimbabwean Cities – Harare, Bulawayo and Mutare. The research was commissioned by the British Council and Connected Sahara. The research explores key overarching concerns that emerge from across Zimbabwe, with a specific focus on the urban Creative Industries (CI) practice of Harare, Bulawayo and Mutare. The research discusses findings from across all disciplines and categories within the CI’s, with a focus on four key categories: Music, Digital Storytelling, Visual Arts and Festivals. A number of key findings were presented to the Creative Industries at large through a series of webinars in June 2020, as well as through the distribution of the report and the below summary fact sheets via digital platforms.

Zimbabwean CI New Media Platform, Earground, interviewed research and head of Savanna Trust, Daniel Maposa about the #creativesZWunlocked research. You can watch the video here: Click here
